Charisse delivered a barnstorming finish to win the last race at Sandown Lakeside on Wednesday in the BM70 Handicap, scoring in fine fashion for the father-son team of Gerard and Patrick Moloney.

It was a brilliant ride by Patrick, settling the five-year-old Churchill mare in a lovely spot midfield and one-off-the-fence over the 1400 metre distance, before letting her down with a terrific turn-of-foot down down the middle of the track in the final 200 metres to score by a long head on the line.

Now with four wins from from sixteen starts, and over $150,000 in prize money, Charisse looks to be in for a promising campaign ahead after her stellar second-up performance, with Gerard and Patrick confident that she has a good race in store for her as she continues to get out over further distance.

Congratulations to the connections and all of the hardworking team at Moloney Racing!
