Reactivate broke through for a well-deserved maiden win at Pakenham Synthetic on Monday, with Patrick Moloney in the saddle for his father Gerard, and with his mother Trish amongst the thrilled ownership group.

With six seconds and one third placing during his maiden career, it was an extremely satisfying win for all involved to see the five-year-old gelding by Reset salute at his 26th start, aided by a brilliant ride from Patrick over the 1400 metre distance.

Settling down at the rear of the field from the outside barrier, Reactivate was able to swoop down the outside on straightening to score an impressive win by a length-and-a-quarter on the line.

Connections were rewarded for their patience with Reactivate, with the team finding the key to him is to ride him quietly, giving him his chance to show his strong turn-of-foot at the end of his races.

We hope to see Reactivate continue his winning form with that confidence-boosting win behind him.

Congratulations to the connections of Reactivate as well as the hard working team at Moloney Racing!
