Lochlorian scored a well-deserved maiden win at Bendigo on Tuesday in the 1300 metre Maiden Plate, at just his sixth race start.

The four-year-old Toronado (X Truth On Toe) gelding was rated beautifully by Teo Nugent outside the leader in running, before Lochlorian drove away on the Heavy 10 surface in the final furlong to win by three-quarters of a length on the line.

Having been right in the money at his previous four starts, with Teo in the saddle each time, it was pleasing to see Lochlorian rewarded with a confidence-boosting win and delivering a wonderful result for his owners, Meridy Taite and Julie Sampson.

We look forward to seeing Lochlorian continue to progress this preparation.

Congratulations to Julie and Meridy, and all of the hard working team at Moloney Racing!
