Brillant Sapphire brought up her third career win from 14 starts at Ballarat Synthetic on Friday, in the BM58 Handicap over 1200 metres.

Aided by a terrific ride from Patrick Moloney who settled the 4-year-old in a midfield position in running, the Deep Field mare showed a good turn of foot when the gap opened up for her on straightening, pulling away from the field to win by 1.25 lengths on the line.

After over-racing at her first-up run in Adelaide with the blinkers on, the blinkers were removed on Friday and Brillant Sapphire was able to bounce back into the winners stall after settling beautifully in transit and enjoying the Synthetic surface.

Congratulations to the Shannon Family, and all of the team at Moloney Racing!
