Carlisle notched his second career win over 1600 metres on Good Friday eve at Pakenham, following a solid second-placing at his return this campaign at the same track and distance a fortnight ago.

Ridden by champion jockey Damien Oliver, the So You Think gelding overcame difficulty from his wide barrier early on in the race by pushing forward to sit outside the leader, he then produced a strong fight in the straight to chase down the leader and hold on to win by 1.25 lengths.

The three-year-old Carlisle, who is home-bred from the Julie Sampson and Meridy Taite team out of Cobblestones, was having just his 8th race start and looks to have the makings of a city-class miler with the potential to get further down the track.

Congratulations to Julie and Meridy, and on behalf of the whole team at Moloney Racing, we wish you a very Happy Easter!
