Carlisle capped a brilliant week on Saturday at Sandown Hillside for Moloney Racing and owner-breeders, Julie Sampson and Meridy Taite, leading all the way to win the $150,000 3YO Tile Importer Handicap over 1600 metres.
Rated beautifully in front by in-form jockey Blaike McDougall, Carlisle continued his sensational form this preparation saluting at unbelievable double-figure odds after his eye-catching win at Pakenham two weeks ago, where he was then earmarked as a potential city-class miler.
As stated by John Moloney post-race, the three-year-old gelding by So You Think has matured into a lovely horse and he continues to thrive in his training, showing every sign that he will only continue to improve as each goal post is moved.
Carlisle has now won three races from just nine career starts, and amassed just over $120,000 in prize money.
