Carlisle put his fourth career win on the board on Wednesday at Sale, and the second winner for the week for the Moloney Racing stable who are bouncing back into form after Brillant Sapphire’s victory last Friday.
Returning to the winners stall after a sound first-up effort at Flemington just over a fortnight ago, Blaike McDougall took over the reins once again to score his second win from 3 rides on the four-year-old.
Carlisle settled down outside the leader over the 1419 metres after jumping away quickly from barrier 3, and was able to get a nice breather mid-race before quickening nicely down the middle of the track in the final 200 metres to win by half-a-length on the line.
The talented and lightly raced galloper continues to impress the team, and we look forward to seeing Carlisle continue to progress this preparation.
Congratulations to Julie and Meridy, and all of the team at Moloney Racing.
