Stable pocket-rocket, Maddox, saluted in dominant fashion at Sale on Wednesday, running away to score a 3-length victory in the BM64 Handicap over 1106 metres.

Superbly rated in front by Moloney Racing apprentice Tayla Childs, Maddox jumped straight to the front and never looked in doubt on straightening, sticking hard on the rail and relishing the Soft 5 surface.

The stable was quietly confident about the four-year-old’s chances coming into the race, following a solid first-up second placing at Benalla just over a fortnight ago with Childs in the saddle.

Maddox, a mare by Deep Field and out of the city-winning Cobblestones, has now notched 3 career wins and four minor placings from 12 starts, and she promises to continue pushing through her grades following her performance yesterday.

Congratulations to loyal Moloney Racing clients, Julie Sampson and Meridy Taite, and all of the team at Moloney Racing.
