The Gerard Moloney-trained Charisse rounded out the 2023/2024 racing season in terrific style for the Moloney Camp, storming home to win on Wednesday at Sandown Hillside with son Patrick Moloney in the saddle.
Travelling sweetly in the one-out-one-back position in running, the 4-year-old Churchill mare flew home over the top of her competitors in the final 100 metres to score comfortably by 1.5 lengths on the Heavy 8 surface.
Now with 2 wins and 3 placings from 8 starts, Charisse was perfectly primed for her first-up run by Gerard, saluting on the last day of the racing season, and the day before her 5th birthday. We can’t wait to see her continue to progress throughout this preparation.
