Our Bonnio Miss broke through for a well-deserved maiden victory on Tuesday at Ballarat on the Synthetic, aided by a brilliant ride from Patrick Moloney.
Settling down third-last in transit over the 2100 metre distance, the 4-year-old mare by Highland Reel made a sweeping run from the 600 metres, storming down the outside on straightening to score by a length-and-a-quarter on the line.
Coming off the back of a four-week freshen up, Our Bonnio Miss was knocking on the door to score her maiden win following her most recent runs, and patience certainly paid off for her excited connections with the mare winning in impressive style at her sixteenth start.
