Highly Righteous broke through for an impressive maiden victory on the Synthetic surface at Ballarat on Friday, at just her 7th race start.

Given a perfect ride by top jockey, Dean Yendall, the three-year-old filly by Toronado was perfectly primed in her first-up run this preparation over the 1000 metre distance.

Settling down just behind the leaders in transit, and getting into clear running at the 300 metre mark, Yendall coaxed Highly Righteous with a perfectly timed run to chase down the runaway leader, getting her nose in front right on the post.

A $100,000 purchase by Moloney Racing at the 2019 Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale, Highly Righteous looks to be a progressive filly on the way up after her strong performance.

Congratulations to all of Highly Righteous’s connections, as well as the hardworking team at Moloney Racing!
