Hollandia notched his maiden victory at his fourth race start on Tuesday at Bendigo, winning the 1500 metre maiden in impressive style with Blaike McDougall in the saddle.

First-up this preparation after a luckless debut campaign, the 4-year-old So You Think gelding was given a lovely ride by McDougall from barrier 7. Settling down midfield one-off-the-fence in running and getting to the outside in the straight, Hollandia showed a brilliant turn of foot to cruise past his competitors, winning by 0.75L on the line.

Owned and bred by loyal Moloney Racing clients, Julie Sampson and Meridy Taite, Hollandia continues the succession of his mother Gawne’s success in the breeding barn, and his potential in untapped as he continues to progress over further ground.

Congratulations to Julie and Meridy, and all of the hard working team at Moloney Racing!
