Kahhof bounced back into the winners circle in eye-catching fashion in the 3YO BM70 Handicap on Monday at Sandown Lakeside, jumping out of the ground in the concluding stages to win by a quarter-of-a-length with Jye McNeil in the saddle.

Settling down at the rear-of-the-field on the fence over the 1400 metre distance, the three-year-old Pierro gelding approached the home turn under a strangle hold and was unluckily shuffled back to last at the 300 metres when a run closed. Remarkably, McNeil was able to find clear running on Kahhof and rebalance him, flying down the outside to put his nose in front on the line.

It was a well deserved city-grade victory for the grandson of Virage, following four metropolitan second-placings since his maiden win at Bairnsdale back in September last year. We look forward to seeing Kahhof continue to go through his grades this preparation with that confidence-boosting win.

Congratulations to the connections of Kahhof and all of the hard working team at Moloney Racing!
