Milton Park broke his maiden status in fine fashion at Pakenham on Monday, at just his third-career-start.

Given a lovely, confident ride by jockey, Jarrod Fry, who sent the three-year-old straight to the front of the 11-horse-field, the talented colt broke away from his competitors in the final furlong, to win by 3.5 lengths on the line.

Unlucky at his two previous starts where he covered extra ground in both, the step up to 1400 metres saw the Written Tycoon colt able to take the race into his own hands from the start, and he relished the synthetic surface under foot.

Bred-and-owned by loyal Moloney Racing clients, Meridy Taite and Julie Sampson, Milton Park’s impressive win yesterday adds to the success of his dam, Gawne, and he looks to have a nice future ahead of him.

Congratulations to Julie and Meridy, and all of the hard working team at Moloney Racing!
