Nation State scored back-to-back wins at Sandown Lakeside on Wednesday, and the second win for the Moloney team in as many days after Hollandia’s maiden victory at Bendigo on Tuesday.

The three-year-old gelding son of All Too Hard led all the way with Damian Lane in the saddle, jumping straight on the bunny over the 1200 metre distance and relishing the soft 6 conditions, striding to the line for a 0.8L win at his third race start in the BM64 Handicap.

Following his first-up maiden win at Ballarat a fortnight ago over the 1000 metres, Nation State is providing all the signs that his best is still yet to come, with his nonchalant attitude suggesting that he still has a lot to learn about the racing caper which will come with maturity and experience.

Congratulations to the connections of Nation State, as well as the hard working team at Moloney Racing!
