Well-bred gelding, Redissent, broke through for his maiden win in fine style on Sunday at Werribee, with Melbourne Cup winning jockey, Jye McNeil, in the saddle.

The son of former John Moloney-trained mare, Flying Ruby, and half-brother to Blue Diamond-winning stallion, Flying Artie, dashed to the front on straightening after sitting one-out-one-back in the run over the 1400 meters, winning by 3.25 lengths on the line.

Having his 9th career start, the four-year-old by Dissident proved to be in for a promising preparation after displaying an impressive turn-of-foot, and is sure to gain a lot of confidence from his breakthrough win.

Congratulations to the Shannon family, and to all of the team at Moloney Racing.
