The Regiment continued his formidable partnership with Jarrod Fry on Friday night at The Valley, with a courageous display of strength to score in a nail biting photo-finish.

Jumping from barrier 1, Fry settled The Regiment down in the box-seat position in running before the six-year-old towed his way off the fence into clear running at the 400 metre mark, dashing to the front and fighting off the Tom Dabernig & Ben Hayes trained, Cassius, by a nostril on the line.

With four wins and one second placing from his last five rides on the Hinchinbrook gelding, Fry has cemented his place as the “hot jockey” in the Moloney Racing camp, following on from his win on the fellow Julie Sampson and Meridy Taite-owned, Sunflare, on Thursday at Kilmore.

Reggie has brought much cheer to his owners and to the whole team in the past couple of months, and he just continues to improve and thrive in his training.

Congratulations to Julie and Meridy, and all of the hardworking team at Moloney Racing!
