Rosenstrasse notched her first win from six starts at Cranbourne on Friday night, taking out the 1500 metre maiden for three-year-old Fillies in eye-catching fashion.

Owned and bred by loyal clients of Moloney Racing, Julie Sampson and Meridy Taite, the Hallowed Crown filly took great improvement from her first-up second placing at Wangaratta a fortnight ago over 1400 metres, and with a nice ride by star apprentice, Teo Nugent, delivered a barnstorming turn-of-foot to win by a length.

Settling down last in the small field of 6 runners, Nugent timed his run to perfection on Rosenstrasse, tracking into the race three-wide from the 600 metre mark, the daughter of Matron then wobbled greenly around the turn before showing impressive acceleration to come over the top of the place-getters.

Now with 3 placings from 6 starts, we look forward to seeing Rosenstrasse continue to progress through her classes.

Congratulations to Julie and Meridy and all of the team at Moloney Racing!
