Scorched Earth propelled herself to star quality on Saturday in the $200,000 Magic Millions SA 2YO Classic at Murray Bridge, bolting in by just over 5 lengths with Adelaide’s leading jockey, Jessica Eaton, in the saddle.

A $90,000 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale purchase from Lyndhurst Stud Farm, Scorched Earth was having just her third-career-start and following on from her last start second in the Group 2 Blue Diamond Prelude, was able to break her maiden status in SA’s richest two-year-old race.

Providing Eaton with her most prolific winner to date, the two-year-old jumped straight to the front in the 1200 metre race, and kept improving, blowing away her rivals in classy fashion.

It was a special win and very exciting for the whole team at Moloney Racing, and we are so excited to see what the future has in store for her.

Congratulations to Scorched Earth’s happy connections and all of the team at Moloney Racing!
