Shove Over bounced back into the winner’s stall at Ballarat on Wednesday, notching his sixth-career-win at his 23rd start.

Ridden to perfection by in-form 3kg-claiming apprentice, Jaylah Kennedy, the Nicconi Gelding bounced straight to the front from barrier 4, before Kennedy elected to take a sit running second in transit. Shove Over proved too classy on straightening, pulling away in the final 200 metres to win by 0.75 lengths on the line.

Although almost a year to the day between wins for Shove Over, it was a well-deserved victory for the five-year-old who has raced consistently well this time in in much stronger grade. We hope to see Shove Over continue his return to form this preparation after his confidence-boosting win!

Congratulations to the connections of Shove Over and all of the team at Moloney Racing!
