Sunflare won in easy fashion on Thursday at Kilmore, leading all the way to take out the BM58 over 1462 metres with jockey Jarrod Fry in the saddle.

Continuing the brilliant run that owners and breeders, Julie Sampson and Meridy Taite, have had since the beginning of the New Year, the three-year-old Written Tycoon filly was perfectly rated by Fry, who took the race into his own hands from the barriers and never looked in doubt of being challenged in the run to the line.

It was Sunflare’s second win from 12 career starts, and second win at Kilmore, after breaking her maiden status there in March last year.

Moloney Racing’s star apprentice Tayla Childs was spotted doing the strapping duties on Thursday, and we are so excited to see her return to the saddle on Tuesday at Bendigo after a nasty injury- good luck Tayla!!

Congratulations to Julie and Meridy, and all of the hard working staff at Moloney Racing!
