On Saturday, we enjoyed great success up at the Gold Coast with Flying Jess coming home to win the magic millions 3 year old Guineas.

It was extremely warm conditions with temperatures in the high 30s but that didn’t stop 20,000 racegoers coming in to watch the races. There was 10 million dollars prize money on offer and the magic millions Guineas featured dual group one winner ‘Global Glamour’ and the unbeaten ‘Winning Rupert. Flying Jess started at 100/1 and sat midfield and travelled strongly throughout the race and coming around the bend the gaps opened up and she exploded down the middle of the course to run over Global glamour in the last 50m. Flying Jess was given a fantastic ride by Tye Angland and collected the 1.2 million dollar prize check.

This was a great thrill for the stable and continues a tremendous start to the new year and we can only hope continues in the same fashion.

Flying Jess was purchased by Prime thoroughbreds for $60,000 at the 2015 magic millions sale and has now earnt close to $1.3 million in her 12 starts to date.

This win has been a fantastic experience for the stable and we wish to thank all connections for helping us be here today. We wish to congratulate Joe O Neil and the team at Prime Thoroughbreds aswell as Mr J C Bagnoux, Mr N D Rance, Mr T W Nicol, Ms K S Murtagh, Sewgoolam Racing Connection, Mr G M Harding, Bobbin Along, Mr B J Quick, Mr J N Bolch, Mr K R James, Mr R G Wilson, 8 Ponies Partnership, Mr J A Treloar, Mrs L Sewgoolam who race Flying Jess.
