The Regiment continued his brilliant form this preparation, storming home to win easily at Moonee Valley under-lights on Friday night.

Notching his third win this prep, with only a second-placing last start at Geelong breaking a near hat trick of wins, the 6-year-old just continues to thrive and run well for his proud owners, Meridy Taite and Julie Sampson.

Jarrod Fry produced another brilliant ride on the Hinchinbrook gelding, building on the success that the pair have had in recent months.

Jumping from the 1600 metre start, Fry settled The Regiment in a midfield position, one-off-the-fence, before tracking into the race from the 800 metre mark and riding the velodrome of The Valley perfectly in the final few furlongs. The pair straightened up in front at the top of the straight, and The Regiment raced away to win easily by one length on the line.

Carrying the “Cheering For Charity” $250 win bet for Make a Wish Australia, Reggie didn’t let anyone down and stamped the donation for such a special charity.

The Regiment has now won 6 races from 54 starts, with 21 minor placings, and amassing almost $250,000 in prize money.

Congratulations to Julie and Meridy, and all of the hardworking team at Moloney Racing!
